Her: TACTICAL MANEUVERS!!

Me: [nearly falls off the couch laughing]

Her: She keeps shocking me and then being surprised that she was shocked.

Me: That’s because she’s a cat and doesn’t understand static electricity.

The cat was freaking out in new and interesting ways so, despite the size of the apartment (and its closets) making the thought ridiculous, we went through the place looking for anything that might cause it.

Me: I’ll go check my room. (The last spot left to look.)

Her: Ok. If I hear someone who’s not you scream, I’ll call for help.

Her, to her cat: Will you stop freaking out?

Me: No. She’s a cat. She has two speeds: neurotic and off.

Her: Point.
