Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel Irish Whiskey

I’ll be honest. When I walked into the bar and saw that a Jameson was the monthly whiskey, I winced. There’s some funky aftertaste to the regular Jameson that I can tolerate but don’t really like. But, of course, I got it anyway.

And it was lovely. Mild, smooth, tiniest bit sweet but mostly just clean and crisp. More like Powers Gold than, well, than Jameson. Definitely one I’d drink again.
