Top left: Four Roses Small Batch Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey - Super sweet, floral, fruity, viscous, almost syrupy, just right on the edge of my preference. And I like them sweet.

Top right: Four Roses Single Barrel Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey* - Another first. I liked the small batch better than the single barrel. Whodathunk? Where the small batch was right on the edge of my preference for sweet and cloying, the single barrel went right over it and took my ability to not pull faces in a reasonably classy bar with it.

Bottom left: Rowan's Creek Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey - I didn’t dislike anything about this one but I didn’t find anything notable about it either. A little chalky. A touch spicy. Not terribly sweet, especially for a bourbon.

Bottom right: W.L. Weller Special Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey - This smells just. like. apple. cider. It doesn’t taste like it. Well, way, way down deep in the aftertaste but not up front. Up front it’s hard and sharp and spicy. Fascinating.

* This one has not actually posted to onelinewhiskey yet but I wanted to post them together.
