Scotches That Are All Grown Up, with one slightly younger bonus

The Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 18-year

I liked this a fair bit better than the 12-year. Peaty and a little smokey up front but cleared out cleanly almost right after, leaving very little aftertaste at all.

Laphroig Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 18-year

Pretty much the opposite of the Glenlivet. Light and crisp up front but three, four breaths later, very, very peaty. More than an aftertaste. More like a sequel taste.

Oban Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 18-year

Silky smooth. Creamy. I see why people go all googly-eyed over Oban. this is the first whisky I’ve tried that I didn’t think was improved by the addition of ice. I actually preferred it neat.
