Bernheim Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey

You know how a good hefeweizen is light and crisp seems like the perfect beer for summer? Bernheim feels like that to me and no surprise since it is a wheat whiskey. The comparison is not so much with regard to taste--this is all caramel and oak and a little spice not the yeasty citrus of a wheat beer--but in feel it's... light, bright, practically refreshing. Definitely a nifty one.

I might even go as far as "incredibly versatile." I had it before and with a sort of modified beef bourguignon and it paired really nicely. But definitely good for a warm-weather fix.
