Sazerac Rye, Straight Rye Whiskey

Sweeter than I expect out of a rye but just as much spice and some pepper too. Has a bit of a… licorice? anise? finish that makes it a little contrary to my palate but still tasty.

In the background is the Fog’s End Monterey Rye which was actually the whiskey on special this month but I’d already tried it so I sampled something else.

There is only one problem with your beautiful whisky photos, which is that they make me want whisky at 10:13 on a Wednesday morning.

Aww. I'm sorry. Sort of. Ahem.

I was particularly pleased with this one, enough to make up for not getting a shot of the absolutely stunning Sazerac bottle itself. I didn't actually desaturate Amy but after seeing this I might consider it (or its equivalent) in other images.
